The Division of Neonatal Medicine's physicians and staff maintain a 45-Bed level III, tertiary care neonatal intensive care unit. They offer a host of neonatal services including nitric oxide therapy, high-frequency ventilation as well as all pediatric sub-specialties. Unlike other tertiary-care hospitals in the area, their physicians are also professors in their field, associated with the Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
As the keystone of Suffolk County's regional perinatal center, they are the premier referral center for the area's most critically ill newborns. Their mission is to provide high quality, state-of-the-art care in a family supportive environment.
